Los Angeles, CA, January 3, 2023 –Doheny-UCLA clinician-scientist, Victoria Tseng, MD, PhD, has been awarded the Career Development Award from Research to Prevent Blindness, a nonprofit organization created in 1960 by Jules Stein, the founder of Music Corporation of America, to stimulate research to eliminate blinding diseases.  The RPB Career Development Award Fund was established in 1990 to attract young physicians and basic scientists to eye research.

Using this RPB funding, Dr. Victoria Tseng, will test the hypothesis that the occurrence and outcomes of neovascular glaucoma—a devastating and potentially blinding condition—are closely linked to an individual’s social, economic, and demographic background.
