About Dr. Hwang
Dr. Hwang is a distinguished ophthalmologist and professor at UCSF, specializing in corneal diseases, refractive surgery, and ocular surface disorders. A Doheny fellowship alumnus, he has authored over 120 publications, advanced treatments for complex corneal diseases, and earned numerous accolades, including the AAO Lifetime Achievement Award.
Currently, as Director of the Cornea Service and Refractive Surgery Center at UCSF, he continues to lead advancements in vision science through research, education, and patient care.
