Los Angeles, CA, December 2, 2021 – Doheny-UCLA researcher, Yuhua Zhang, PhD, is the most recent recipient of the Catalyst Award from Research to Prevent Blindness, a nonprofit organization created in 1960 by Jules Stein, the founder of Music Corporation of America, to stimulate research to eliminate blinding diseases. The Catalyst Award aims to provide support to researchers who are working on novel approaches to age-related macular degeneration research that has translational potential.
