Highlights from the Annual Doheny CME and RIMR Conferences
It’s been a busy few weeks at Doheny, with two of our annual conferences taking place that further insights and best practices in vision research and ophthalmology.
On March 23, more than 75 attendees traveled to our Pasadena Campus to participate in the annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) conference to engage in enlightening discussions and learn more about the latest research, techniques and technology impacting the field of ophthalmology. A highlight of the day was a special ceremony to induct Narsing Rao, MD, into the Doheny Society of Scholars.
From April 4-6, more than 100 outstanding researchers gathered at the Beckman Center at the National Academy of Sciences in Irvine, CA, for the 14th Annual Stephen J. Ryan Initiative for Macular Research (RIMR) Conference. Participants from various backgrounds and disciplines worked together to discuss the major challenge and opportunities in age-related macular degeneration (AMD) research.
They also worked to generate new ideas and solutions to overcome the roadblocks that have thus far prevented us from elimination vision loss due to AMD. Read more about RIMR and the RIMR conference at this link.
