Giulia Corradetti, MD, Retina Specialist to Consult Patients at Doheny Eye Center UCLA Pasadena starting November 1

 

We are excited to welcome Dr. Giulia Corradetti to Doheny Eye Center UCLA – Pasadena, starting November 1. She is an internationally recognized retina specialist dedicated to advancing sight-saving care.

Dr. Corradetti brings patients the rare combination of extensive clinical training and groundbreaking research experience. She completed advanced fellowships in retina at both Doheny Eye Institute and UCLA Stein Eye Institute, as well as specialized training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Her career has focused on caring for patients with retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, and inherited retinal conditions.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Corradetti is highly regarded in the ophthalmology research community. She has authored numerous scientific publications, contributed to leading textbooks—including Ryan’s Retina—and presented at major international conferences. Her work has been recognized with prestigious honors, such as the Macula Society’s Evangelos S. Gragoudas Award (2024) and the David R. Hinton MD Scholarship Award. Her research explores new imaging technologies, artificial intelligence applications, and novel treatment approaches aimed at detecting and treating retinal disease earlier and more effectively.
