Bio:
Dr. Machelle Pardue’s work examines the retinal signaling pathways that underlie myopia progression, especially the interplay of all-trans retinoic acid and dopamine under different lighting conditions to modulate eye growth. She also investigates levodopa treatment as a means to rescue early functional changes in preclinical diabetic retinopathy before vascular damage emerges.
