The European Association for Vision and Eye Research (EVER) congress is a site for clinicians and scientists to discuss their latest advances, and to encourage the participation of young ophthalmologists and visual scientists, as they are undoubtedly the future of our society. Sharing knowledge is usually the main purpose of the Congress, but this year we also need to re-launch the society encouraging the participation of students, residents in training and young investigators.

The Fall Vision Meeting is a small, high quality, international meeting sponsored by Optica for researchers in visual neuroscience, optics and psychophysics. The small and focused nature of the meeting and its single-track format foster active discussion and often forge friendships and collaborations.
