UCLA Health’s hospitals in Westwood and Santa Monica have been named to U.S. News and World Report’s 2015-2016 Best Hospitals Honor Roll. UCLA, which previously ranked No. 5 in the country, tied for No. 3 this year.

Advancing Research: Samuel Asanad, winner of the 2018 RPB award

In 2018, Samuel Asanad was one of three medical students across the U.S. to receive the Jules Stein Research to Prevent Blindness (RPB) Eye Research Fellowship under the mentorship of Doheny neuro-ophthalmologist, Dr. Alfredo A. Sadun, at Doheny-UCLA, and director of neuroscience, Dr. Michael Harrington, at the Huntington Medical Research Institute (HMRI).
